More about the Role
Your goals will be to improve processes as we grow, to help better integrate HR with the rest of the organization through relationship building (such as ensuring business partners are communicating with managers, etc), and to create a strategy to ensure we have competitive offerings based on industry best practices. Though you’ll oversee the direction of the employee lifecycle resources and tools, you will be a strategic manager rather than a hands-on HR employee; most, if not all, of the front-line HR work will be done by the team that you manage.
Some of your specific tasks will be to:
- Manage core administrative HR services for all NCHC programs.
- Ensure that NCHC work environments are conducive to employee recruitment, retention, development, and patient satisfaction.
- Ensure continued compliance with all applicable federal, state, and related regulatory/accreditation requirements.
- Administer innovate programs and initiatives related to compensation and benefit, recruitment and retention, performance management systems, employee engagement, employee health, and industry competitiveness.
- Partner with business unit leaders to provide consultative support, and offer day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, policy guidance and interpretation).
- Facilitate a fair approach to regularly meeting and gaining input from all.
- Provide direct supervision for Human Resources staff.
- Partner with the Operations Executive to review policies, procedures and programs.
- Respond to employee relation issues such as unemployment claims, employee complaints, harassment allegations and employee rights complaints to work towards successful resolution in accordance with NCHC policy.
- Assist in the coordination of employee recognition & service, and awards programs.
Note: this description is intended to give you a general overview of the position and is not an exhaustive listing of duties and responsibilities.
